Indien gecombineerd met de in het valbeveiligingssysteem opgenomen valdemper, is de gebruiker niet alleen beschermd tégen een val, maar ook tijdens de val en daarna. Door het juist kiezen van het bevesitingspunt moet de valafstand wel zo klein mogelijk worden gehouden.
